7 March to 1 July 2006 This important exhibition of John’s work brought to the fore a life-long interest in the texture and surface of the craft object. John’s reputation was first secured as an innovative weaver, with works in major national museum collections. He then pursued wider interests in the studio production of ceramics, printed textiles and, more recently, linocuts. His versatility and fascination for surface decoration were revealed in this display of new work; some two years in development.
