Welcome to the website of internationally-acclaimed artist John Hinchcliffe.

John's career has encompassed several roles and embraced diverse media. He has enjoyed acclaim as a weaver; achieved success as a designer and maker of studio and commercial ceramics, as well as printed textiles. Latterly he has worked in the fields of painting and linocuts. This versatility of expression and the range of audiences addressed by John's work have set a groundbreaking example in British crafts. In his most recent work, he has emerged as the experimental maker still fascinated by colour and texture in surface decoration.
